Introduction to "Arise & Walk"
Healthcare workers have incredible influence over people's
lives. They have the opportunity to serve others who are under some very difficult health circumstances. Imagine the results
of using this influence to advance God's kingdom! These professionals have more chances to reach people--especially patients
and colleagues--with the gospel of Jesus Christ than do most Christians. That's why The Kardia Foundation developed the "Arise
and Walk: Great Commission Leadership in Healthcare" curriculum. We see the need. We see the opportunity. We want to equip
Christians for action!
Why the Title "Arise & Walk"?
"Arise, pick up your pallet, and walk." As simply and
directly as that, Jesus commanded the chronic invalid onto his feet, instantly giving him a testimony of power.
The implications to the healthcare field of John's
eleven verse account of healing are enormous. Jesus provides not only deliverance from our chronic disease of sin, He instructs
us to take the message of that deliverance into the hospitals, clinics, and every other healthcare setting where we set foot.
Healthcare worker, your influence with your patients
and colleagues is strategic to God's Great Commission. This healthcare ministry conference of The Kardia Foundation will leverage
your influence by equipping you to serve the Lord in your field everyday. You will grasp with renewed freshness the command
"Arise...and Walk."
